What Do Anti-Wrinkle Injections Treat?

Anti-wrinkle treatments are most effective for "dynamic" lines, those that appear when you move your face. Over time, these movements cause the skin to crease permanently. Common areas I treat include:

Frown Lines: The vertical "11" lines between the eyebrows.
Forehead Creases: Horizontal lines caused by lifting the brows.
Crow’s Feet: Fine lines around the outer corners of the eyes.
Bunny Lines: Small wrinkles on the bridge of the nose.
Advanced Areas: I also offer specialized treatments such as Masseter Botox (for jaw slimming and teeth grinding), Gummy Smile correction, and Nefertiti Neck Lifts.

With over 20 years of nursing experience and a background in plastic surgery, my approach is "skin health first." I believe that the best injectables are those that no one can spot.

Every journey begins with a face-to-face medical consultation. I don’t believe in "one-size-fits-all" dosages; I assess your unique anatomy and muscle strength to ensure your results are bespoke to you.

What to Expect From Your Appointment

Your appointment will begin with a thorough consultation where we discuss your medical history, skin concerns, and aesthetic goals.

The Procedure: The treatment involves a series of small, precise injections using an extremely fine needle. Most patients describe the sensation as a minor "pinch." The actual injecting typically takes only 5-10 minutes.
Downtime: There is minimal downtime. You may notice tiny red bumps at the injection sites immediately after, but these usually subside within 30 minutes. You can return to most daily activities immediately, though I advise avoiding strenuous exercise, or touching the area afterwards.

Results and Treatment Course

The effects of botulinum toxin do not appear instantly.

The Timeline: You will start to notice a softening of the muscles after 2 to 4 days, with the full result visible at 14 days.
Follow-up: I offer a complimentary review two weeks after your first treatment to ensure you are happy with the results and to provide an adjustment if necessary.
Longevity: Results typically last between 3 to 4 months before you are back to baseline. As the treatment wears off, muscle activity will gradually return, and lines will begin to reappear. Regular maintenance treatments are recommended to prevent new lines from forming.

Is This Treatment Right for You?

Anti-wrinkle injections are a safe and effective option for many, but they are not suitable for everyone. They are not recommended for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or individuals with certain neurological conditions.

During our consultation, if I believe a different approach, such as Sculptra for volume loss or SuneKOS for skin texture, would serve you better, I will always give you my honest professional advice. My priority is your safety and a result you feel confident with.
